Hello, guys! I'm not feeling too well today, so I decided not to go to my lectures (I only had two hours of lectures anyway) and instead write an entry here.

First of all: if you like Gossip Girl, please consider joining [community profile] gossip_girl! I offered to help bring the community back to life and I became the new admin! So now I'm promoting the community as much as I can, so that more people can join. Right now there's a friending meme going on, so everyone can get to know each other. I have many plans for this community and I really hope it becomes the "hub" for Gossip Girl fans on Dreamwidth. So, if you're a fan, please do join! :D

Now, onto other matters. As far as real life goes, everything is okay. Andrew was here from Monday until Wednesday and now he's back home. It was really nice to have him here and to be able to spend time together, just the two of us. ♥ We watched Scrubs, had a marathon of How I Met Your Mother (I want to watch the whole show and Andrew doesn't mind watching it with me. Now we're almost finished watching season 1), went around town - the usual stuff. We found an amazing shop which sells second-hand games/movies/tv series/etc. which has stuff at incredibly cheap prices! It has become our new favourite shop in town! I bought a game, Folklore, for the PS3, for just £12! It looks really good though, I can't wait to try it! Andrew has also bought me the Mummy trilogy (all three movies for just £5), which are my guilty pleasure movies. XD He has never seen any of the Mummy movies, so I'll make him watch all three when I go back to his house.

On another note, I've been thinking of buying an eReader for a while. reasons and self-doubting behind the cut )

So yeah, should I buy one or not? I thought I would ask your opinions on this, guys, before I bought one. Right now I'm eyeing the Kobo glo, which is coming out here in the UK on Monday, October 1st.

And that's all for this entry. I'm going to get something to eat now. :D Until next time!

Hello, LJ! First of all, new layout! I quite like it, I hope you guys like it too! :D

I cannot wait to see The Avengers. Andrew and I are going to one of these days, at the cinema in Perth. We've gone together to see Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows when it was released, too. Needless to say, I loved it! I liked the first Sherlock Holmes movie, but this one... this is what I was expecting from the first one. It was so brilliant, it seriously filled me with adrenaline and it was such an emotional roller-coaster. I'm a big fan of Moriarty and the rivalry between Holmes and Moriarty, I seriously left the cinema with a smile on my lips. This movie has definitely earned a place in my favourite movies list. ♥

On another fandom note, I've been watching The Big Bang Theory for a while - and by 'a while' I mean... some months. XD I never wrote about it 'cause it always slips my mind, haha. Anyway, I like it :D Sheldon has got to be my favourite character - he's just too funny and rational! Also, on a less important fandom note, I've also gone back to playing Phoenix Wright and Harvest Moon. So much fun!

For the time being, I'll just answer another one of those Writer's Block. damn they're addictive

Well, I guess right now I kind of live in two places - in Scotland and Italy. Which, I must say, sounds like quite a nice combination. :D

Anyway. Technically I'm living in Dundee, as I spend most of the year here to attend uni. My parents and friends, however, are back in Italy. I have to be honest - I've always wanted to leave Italy and I don't regret choosing to study Law in another country. I would have never had the chance of becoming a lawyer in Italy, seeing as no one in my family is a lawyer - and nowadays that's what really matters in Italy, sadly - who you know, not what exactly you're capable of doing. It might sound absurd or overdramatic, but that's exactly what happens. I am ashamed to say this, but it's nevertheless the truth.

I've been living in Dundee for almost an academic year now and I quite like it. I know where all the shops are, I know where the places to eat are, I found an hairdresser quickly, there are a couple of theaters, I know where the medical centre is if I feel sick - I know my way around (I only need to learn how the buses work and I'll be an expert! XD). However, to be honest, right now I can't see myself living in Dundee after I get my degree. I do love Scotland, though, so I might decide to live here, just not specifically in Dundee. But who knows, maybe that'll change over the years? To be honest, right now my goal is to get my Law degree and then we'll see what to do from there. As my mom says, 'One thing at the time'. So I don't want to over-think this stuff now, also because it's kind of pointless to worry about it now, when I've got to spend three more years in Dundee.

Will I ever go back to living in Italy? Seeing the nature of my degree, I think that's a very remote possibility. I've actually been thinking of the possibility of convincing my parents to come and live in the UK. I think their shop would benefit from it, too. But again, we'll think about that once I finish my degree - there's really no rush.

Hello, hello! My first two exams are over, which means there's only one more to go! It's going to be about criminal law, so I'm not too worried about it - it's the module I enjoyed the most this semester, so things stuck to my memory more. :D I also promised I was going to write a life update entry, but I just realised that I... really don't have anything exciting to say. XD

I'm on Easter Holidays, as you already know and my lectures officially finished a month ago. Now I only need to study for my last exam (which is on the 15th of May) and then I'm basically on summer holidays! Wow, time really does fly... I might be going back to Italy at the beginning of June. Right now I'm staying at Andrew's (my boyfriend) house - his family is really nice and they don't mind having me around for a month or two. I'm really, really lucky to have met Andrew... if it weren't for him, I would probably be spending these two months alone in my campus room while waiting for my exams to be over.

Anyway. Seeing as I don't have much to say, I'll do another one of those Writer's Block. Also, as soon as I read this one, I knew I had to write an answer for it.

warning: SPOILERS for season 5 of Gossip Girl )

Sorry about that, guys. XD; I just... really needed to get that out of my system. Anyway, I shall post more soon! :D

I am here again! I seriously need to go back to updating my LJ more. I will do that, I promise!

Anyway. I am here today for a very important reason. That is, I NEED TO FANGIRL ABOUT MY NEW FANDOM - SHERLOCK. ANYBODY WANT TO JOIN ME? ♥

Spoilers, capslock & hearts. Yes, this is, indeed, a fangirling session about Sherlock. )

I've also watched Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law and I loved it! ♥ And you know what I just noticed? That all these actors that I love are doing something related to Sherlock Holmes. RDJ has done a movie, Benedict Cumberbatch is doing the BBC series... I wonder if some other actor will join in? XD It's like they all want me to read the books and get into the SH fandom. WELL IT'S WORKING

Ahem. Well, I believe I've fangirled enough for now. XD Oh, and I still need to go see the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie. By the way, I noticed recently that I'm waiting for a lot of movies to be released. I'm waiting for Iron Man 3, The Avengers, Harry Potter: The Deathly Hallows Part II, The Dark Knight Rises, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and, last but not least, The Hobbit by Peter Jackson! ♥ Oh my gosh, I'm so happy that Peter Jackson will be directing this movie! He's such a talented director and by far my favourite! ♥ ♥ Also, did I mention that Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch are going to be in it, as well?! SO MANY AWESOME MOVIES WITH SO MANY AWESOME PEOPLE, I DON'T EVEN. JUST. BRAIN CANNOT COPE.

On another fandom note, LEVERAGE IS BACK. ♥ ♥ ♥ I missed this show so much. I missed the awesome actors, ad well as the fantastic interaction between the characters. And the Nate/Sophie, oh gosh, I LOVE THIS PAIRING TO PIECES. ♥ Also, both Sterling and Tara are coming back in this season and I'm so happy about it, I love all the characters and I wish all of them would always be on the show. The plot is also going to be very interesting, as apparently someone is out to get the team... I can't wait for the next episodes!! ♥

And this somehow brings me to the point that... I had two dreams about Leverage. And one of them was the best dream ever.

Cut for dreams. )

Oh, and by the way. I WANT A LEVERAGE/SHERLOCK CROSSOVER. I know it's never gonna happen, but I seriously want to see those two series collide. Imagine the reactions of the various characters! It would be awesome. Although I think Christian Kane and Benedict Cumberbatch in the same scene would be too much for the tv to handle. Heck, ALL the actors in the same scene would be too much awesome to handle! ... That's why I started writing a Leverage/Sherlock crossover fic. XD By the looks of it, it's gonna be a multi-chapter fic and right now the prologue is done and I'm starting to write chapter 1. Who knows when/if I'll be able to publish it? I hope I can do it soon, but first I'll need to write at least a few chapters. Wish me luck! :D

Well, that's it for this incoherent fandom post. XD I still need to comment the season finale of Gossip Girl, which, to my surprise, I actually enjoyed a lot. ♥

And I will reply to your comments, guys! I'm just... really slow at it. /headdesk

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, one of the unis offered me a place! ♥ ♥ ♥ asdfghjkl can you believe it?! Someone actually accepted me! I mean, I've always been very doubtful since the moment I started my application and now that I know that I was offered a place at one of the unis, it's just... idk, somehow it just makes me really happy to think that someone out there thought I was good enough to study at their uni! ♥ ;w; The possibility of studying outside of Italy is real now. I mean, I know it's probably something stupid to say/think, but... ahh, I'm just so happy, I don't even think I'm making any sense now. XD; I still have to hear back from the other universities, but I think this offer was what I needed to make me truly believe that I can get accepted somewhere. ♥

I'm in a really good mood these days, despite the fact that it's EXTREMELY COLD. Seriously, this few days have been unbelievably cold. D: It's not raining or anything (on the contrary, it's been quite sunny recently), but it's the stupid wind that is cold. Even if outside is sunny, there is this strong, cold wind that just won't stop blowing. And guess what? The freaking cold air of the wind also gets into my room, because my window is made of fail and so it's never really warm in my room. ;w; And, y'know, it's kind of a problem, because I SLEEP THERE. (And I also have my computer there - it's not a laptop, so I can't move it around... right now I so wish I could.)

Anyway. I just realized the only (active) TV show I'm following right now is Gossip Girl (plus some House M.D. from time to time, while Leverage has ended around Christmas, so no new episodes until summer), so I think it might be a good time to start watching something new, too. I have a huge list of things I want to watch (probably some people on my f-list watch them, too) and they are: Legend of the Seeker (recommended by [ profile] kanki_yamato ♥), White Collar, BBC Sherlock, Supernatural (again, thanks to Kanki and her obsession with Dean! XD) and Merlin (which I have watched a few episodes already, but now I want to actually try and keep up with it XD)! Also, The Vampire Diaries, Doctor Who and Glee got me curious, I think I will look into them properly once I've finished watching those other series. Um, I think it's quite a long list. XD They should help me improve my English, right? Oh, and if anyone wants to recommend another TV show they think it's good, then please do! ♥ I'm open to suggestions. :D (I'm not a big fan of horror, though, so don't suggest anything too scary, please! XD;)

On another fandom note, INUYASHA IS KILLING ME. warning: spoilers for The Final Act! ... though I think I might be the only one here who has yet to finish watching the Final Act XD )

Well, I just had to let those thoughts out. XD Ahh, I'm kinda sorry that I fell out of the InuYasha fandom during these years. Now I'm totally back into it, though. ♥

Anyway, yesterday I finally finished recovering the files that I accidentally deleted a month ago! :D (Yeah, I'm terribly slow, I know XD;) Turns out I couldn't recover them all, but it's okay. The only ones I couldn't recover were a few movies that I had already watched (so I was gonna delete them anyway), plus all the episodes of Leverage (which I kinda need if I want to make videos about it). Don't worry, though, I can get them back easily. :) So yeah, mission: recovering files - accomplished! *victory pose*

And now, last but not least... meme! XD
