a normal day and a not-so-normal dream

Hiya, guys! :D Today I went to the oculist and I found out something curious about myself. It looks like my eyes can see/read better when the lights are on in a room, rather than when they're off. My oculist said there's a specific scientific explanation for that (... I feel like I'm talking like Ema Skye from Gyakuten Saiban/Phoenix Wright, lol XD) - my pupil can see better when it's narrowed. (... I hope that's clear, I don't know the proper scientific term in English. XD;) Ha! Who would have thought. XD Thank goodness, my eyesight has not gotten terribly worse, I just need to wear contacts 8 hours a day and then go back to wearing glasses for the rest of the day. Not too bad. :3

Also, my oculist is made of win. XD He's a really funny man. He's always calling me things like, 'little lady' (signorina in Italian) and he's always polite and nice. He tells a lot of jokes, too. XD And he always tells me that I'm 'perfect', because I wear both contacts and glasses and I always do what he tells me to do. XD He's such a gentleman.

I do have to change glasses, however. This time I'm going to choose a pair of glasses that I really like, so I won't feel embarrassed when I wear them. XD (I'm so used to wearing contacts that I can't recognize myself anymore when I wear glasses, lol /fail)

On another note... CAN I STOP HAVING WEIRD DREAMS, KTHX. Okay, so... I was somewhere. I don't know where. XD But it was something like New York... with some trees here and there. I guess I was going to school somewhere there...?

Anyway. At some point there were Edward and Jacob. (... yes. From Twilight. I know, I know - why the heck did I dream of them?! I have only half-read/watched Twilight and it's not even one of my fandoms.) Jacob was making fun of Edward because he couldn't catch him (... wtf XD LOL) and it was true, because Jacob was super fast and, even though Edward could see him moving, he couldn't hurt him/touch him. So, at one point... Jacob punched Edward and sent him flying into a house. (... IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE.)

So I went into the house where Edward was, but I didn't find him - instead, I found a cute, nice little girl who was a bit sad. She was sad because her parents were going to divorce and they were continuously yelling at each other and fighting. So I decided to take care of that little girl and spend some time with her, making her smile and laugh, and then I put her to bed.

Then, somebody outside the house got hurt, so I went outside to see who it was. At that point I met Christian Kane (omg! ♥ XD), who told me that there was some kind of fight (in English XD). The ambulance came and was about to take the guy to the hospital and I went to the doctor and said, 'Please take them to that hospital (*insert random hospital name here*), because there are other people there that he (the patient) knows!"... all in English. XD; (Why am I talking in English in my dreams?) The doctor nodded and went away.

Then, I decided to go visit someone (who went to my school) at the hospital. So I walked there with Samantha, Carrie and Charlotte (all characters from Sex and the City XDD LMAO) and the hospital was in a city that looked a lot like New York, so I'm guessing it was really New York. We turned into a little alley and there was the hospital.

Then, something weird happened - Carrie and Charlotte hid themselves in a HUGE pizza box (lolwhut? XD), as some kind of 'surprise' for the patient, while Samantha and I walked into the patient's room. And the patient was not actually a classmate of mine... it was Kohaku (from InuYasha XD)! And he was half-naked, too. XD As soon as we said hi to each other, Samantha and I burst out laughing, because I think I made a joke. XDD And then, after we had stopped laughing for a bit, I casually asked Kohaku, 'So, Kohaku, tell me... what are you doing with 30 kg of pizza?' and we all burst out laughing AGAIN. XDDD My sides were actually aching (in the dream), because of how much I was laughing! XD

And then I woke up, with yet a smile on my face, because I was laughing so hard in my dream. XDD Really, though, this is one of the weirdest/craziest dreams I've ever had. Makes you wonder what the heck goes on in my mind. XD

Yes, that's why my mom always asks me to switch on the lights if I wanna read and that reading in the dark will spoil my eyes, so I guess it's quite a common sense? o_O;

Ah, wearing glasses makes some of my friends look cool, but it makes me look... Geeky. Argh, does it have to do with my taste in choosing spectacles? Dx

Yeah, but when you go to the oculist, he usually turns the lights off while you have to read some letters that are far away, right? He said that, theoretically, people should be able to see/read them better in the dark (that's why he turns off the lights), but I could see better only with the lights on~ :3 It's kinda difficult to explain XD;

Aww, I know! My current glasses make me look geeky as well! D: That's why I only wear them when I'm at home, haha~ XD; I think it might have to do with their shape... That's why this time I'm going to choose a pair of glasses that I really like and that hopefully won't make me look like a total geek! XD

Yup, and they're reflected by a mirror, yes? 8D I kinda understand. But woah, I can't see anything in the dark at first but after some time (after my pupil gets used to the little amount of light), then only I will be able to determine where the things are. It's so strange.

I just know that I have astigmatism, and a bit of short sightedness~ My astigmatism is killing me, cause it's not blurring my visions (I don't mind my visions being blurred) but when I see a light from afar in the dark, I see many little dots, meaning that I see things in two or more... @_@;

Some of friends look fierce and insanely cool after wearing thick-rimmed glasses. *___* 'Cept for Ruru, his glasses officially made him look geeky. xP; For me, I wear half-rimmed glasses, and you might have seen me wearing it in photos that I post on LJ? Haha~ <3

Today, I was obsessed with LJ, and was practically lurking on it, waiting for you gals to come on! xP I should go back and finish my last batch of 50 sentences too! :3 ♥ *hugs*

Ah, me too. :3 I can see in the dark (that's why some of my friends make fun of me and say I'm a cat XD), but apparently, when going to the oculist, I need the lights on. XD; It sounds a bit strange, I know, but I trust my oculist 8D

I trust my oculist too, but usually he'll just tell me the same, old basic stuff, like try not to wear your specs too much (especially watching TV), don't strain your eyes while reading - must relax - and don't read when it's dark. xP

Argh, I hope that my eyesight would not deteriorate so rapidly. Gosh, I will take good, good care of my beloved eyes! =O Btw, the astigmatism only affects my right eye, therefore is known as the 'lazy eye'.

Ack, I have kinda the same problem with my right eye - it can see less than my left eye. My oculist said that it's genetic. :/ Alright, let's both take care of our precious eyesight! ♥

OMG, we're very quite similar! *hi fives* ♥ I've noticed that my right eye is always (before I sleep) the last to close/sleep, e.g. I get up to find things in the dark; whereas my left eye after I just wake up, is the first to open and takes in the bright light much easier than my squinting right eye. o___o Oh gawd, what am I typing? You understand?
