I think I found a solution for my "too many icons" problem. Every day, from now on, I'm going to remove an icon that I don't use as much as other icons and replace it with a new icon. That way this process will not take me too much time every day and I can do it without pressure. :)

Andrew and I watched The Hunchback of Notre Dame today in Italian (with Italian subtitles for Andrew). He couldn't completely understand it, but he got the gist of what was happening and, for the way they were talking, it shows that he's getting pretty good. I downloaded the film in Blu-Ray because it was one of the few copies that had it in both languages and with subtitles and HOLY COW BLU-RAY IS AMAZING. I had watched Hunchback many times, but never in Blu-Ray and it was stunning. I NEED MORE DISNEY FILMS ON BLU-RAY. Anyway, he enjoyed it and thought it had very strong themes for children. That's why it's one of my favourite Disney films. It definitely doesn't speak down to kids, it's brutal and scary at times, but it's nothing children can't handle. Also, its music is just amazing. I love it so much.

In other news, it looks like I won't live in Dundee this year. I had a room rented with an establishment outside of university and apparently they do not want people who are not students to live in their buildings. However, apparently they're perfectly okay with taking money out of you to pay for the rent even if you can't live there. ( here's a rant )

That's enough for one entry. I'm off to download more Disney films on Blu-Ray. Hopefully I will receive some good news about the place, otherwise I'm not going to be happy.

On a happier note, I spent two lovely days with my parents. ♥ My mother's cooking was exceptional and we ate a lot of fish, as usual. Then we watched some movies - Benvenuti al Sud (literally, 'Welcome to the South'), an Italian film about a man who had to go work near Naples (my city ♥) and it was really funny! XD My parents and I laughed a lot and we loved it. I also felt a bit nostalgic while watching it - it made me realize how much I miss Naples and how much I love it. ♥ And then today my parents watched a movie with Denzel Washington - Men on Fire. I watched the first half of the movie, but then it got violent and since I don't like violent movies that much, I decided to stop watching it. XD; It was good, though! I enjoyed it. My mother really likes Denzel Washington and I think he did a good job in this movie, too.

Oh, I also watched a movie on my own on New Years! (That was before I deleted all my files. XD) I stayed up late watching the fireworks and after those I kinda felt in the mood to watch a movie and, since I had recently finished *coughdownloadingcough* it... I watched Iron Man 2!! ♥ Oh gosh, I loved it! ( spoilers under the cut! )

Hiya, people! As you can probably imagine, I spent a lovely weekend! :D My mother got to spend some time with her cousin and I met a new girl (her daughter). She's a really nice girl and, to my surprise & joy, we have a lot of things in common: we both love Jane Austen's books (especially Pride & Prejudice, which makes me really happy, because I don't know that many people who love P&P), Johnny Depp, Lord of the Rings, listening to music every time we can (again, I know very few people who listen to as much music as I do) and we generally agree on anything that concerns school/university! XD It was really nice getting to know her and talking to her. Refreshing, somehow. Also, she didn't have any problems with her allergy whatsoever. My mom and I did a fine job cleaning the house, hehe. :Db

We didn't do anything particularly exciting while they were here. On Friday evening we went out and ate at a restaurant. Of course, being the southern-Italy people we are, we ate pizza. XD Which was really good. We went to a restaurant owned by people who are from the south, like us, and we even paid less, haha! Then, on Saturday, our mothers cooked the entire morning while we daughters just took it easy. She (my mother's cousin's daughter) had to study for an exam, so I stayed in the kitchen and watched our mothers cook (that way I learned how to make a tart, yay self!). We ate an Italian dish called Parmigiana (according to the dictionary: slices of fried aubergines seasoned with tomato sauce and grated Parmesan cheese baked in the oven), which was really good, along with a pie/tart. Then we spent the whole afternoon talking. I heard some very funny stories about various members of my family (my father, my many uncles and cousins and my grandma (my mother's mom), too), and other stories that I had never heard before. This is probably the part I love the most when people from my family come to visit. I can always listen to their stories and I never get tired of them. It's the only time when I can get to know my parents (and other people) better, since they don't talk much about their life before they had me. After talking, we went out again and just walked around the centre of the city and took a hot chocolate, as well. Then, before going to sleep, we all watched a movie and ate strawberries with lemon and sugar (it might sound weird, but they're really tasty!) and pastry for dinner! XD Not exactly what you'd eat on a daily basis, but that's another fun part when family members come to visit, right?

And then, on Sunday, they had to take the train in Mestre. We said our goodbyes, but promised to see each other soon and that we'll go to Pescara one of these days. They even wished me good luck for my applications on the universities I chose. And they told me to choose a nice place, so they can come to visit along with my mother and we can have lots of fun in England! XD And they kept saying I was adorable and lovely. (Everybody calls me adorable, hehe.) Awww. ♥ Also, we gave each others presents! My mother gave her cousin a bag and we both gave her daughter a new ipod, since hers is broken, while they gave us two bracelets. I love mine! ♥ It was so nice of them, really.

Final thoughts? Being part of such a big family is great. ♥ Also, this song, Please Don't Go by Mike Posner is lovely and catchy! :D He really does have a nice voice. Now, I believe my bed is waiting for me~

Yes, I am alive! :D I know, I have neglected eljay for a month, but I was busy enjoying summer. Y'know, relaxing, going out, enjoying the sun, catching up on manga, writing (ohh, it feels so good now that I actually have time to finish writing a story/chapter the same day I start it!), vidding, photoshopping (as you probably can see by the ridiculous amount of icons I've just uploaded) and all that sort of stuff. :D Also, I've been working at my father's shop, so that's another reason why I couldn't update lj. XD;

To make up for my absence, I made a new header! ♥ This one features Sakura and Syaoran. well, one of the many versions of the two of them, anyway XD; There were supposed to be also Kuro-rin and Fay in there, but it looked better with just Syaoran and Sakura. Today is also my father's birthday, so happy birthday to my dad! ♥
